Re: APPOINTMENTS

As part of the reshuffling of parish assignments, I am making the following appointments for our archdiocese offices and ministries:

1. Vicar-General and Oeconomus: Msgr. Columbus E. Villamil (Overseer of the archdiocese’s standardization process)

2. Vicar-General: Fr. Florencio P. Salvador (Coordinator of Ad Intra Ministries)

3. Vicar-General and Social Action Director: Fr. Jose A. Cabantan (Coordinator of Ad Extra Ministries)

4. Treasurer: Sr. Claire P. Cinco, RVM

5. Chancellor: Fr. Roel V. Buntol

6. Commission on Clergy: Fr. Othelo P. Polinar

7. Matrimonial Tribunal: Msgr. Rey S. Monsanto

8. Commission on Doctrine & Faith: Msgr. Cirilo L. Isnani

9. Land Records Office: Fr. Lyndon G. Zayas

10. Prefect of Health: Fr. Gil G. Escalante

11. Social Communications Commission: Sr. Mary Anne Padilla, FSP

12. Archdiocesan Center of Concern and Social Services (ACCESS): Ms. Myrna Siose (Facilitator)

13. Archdiocesan Pastoral Formation Center: Fr. Florencio P. Salvador (Director)

These appointments take effect on 1 August 2007 and will be until May 2010. Any turn-over transition may take place until Aug. 14th.

The heads and members of the various ad intra and ad extra ministries are being consulted by the two Pastoral Coordinators.

On August 14th, the clergy will have their regular meeting at 8:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in San Jose de Mindanao Seminary. After lunch time, at 1:30 we are inviting all religious and lay co-workers in the ad extra ministries to join the clergy to conduct some strategic planning by particular ministries.

Whenever I am out of the archdiocese, one of the vicars-general will take over on the basis of seniority.

Earlier, the Vicar-Forane of our six districts had been appointed. The District fathers are asked to choose an assistant vicar-forane.

We thank all those who have rendered service over the past years and welcome those who are beginning or continuing their services.
